I'm a graphic designer and photographer in southern California. My love of graphic design and photography began as a teenager when I discovered and started collecting old movie posters, film stills, lobby cards and Life Magazines from the 1940s through the 1960s, as well as music and band posters. I was also fortunate at this time to study drawing and composition with an amazing print and bookmaker.
I went on to study art history, printmaking, history and foreign languages at San Francisco State University and CSU Firenze and Università di Pavia in Italy, eventually graduating Phi Beta Kappa with BAs in Art History & History and an MA in Italian Literature, after which I decided to return to nurturing and developing my creative and technical side.
I have been working professionally as a graphic designer and photographer for almost a decade and am lucky to have worked with some extremely inspiring and industry leading artisan designers in the tile and hard surfaces industry locally in California, Oregon and New Mexico as well as in Mexico and Italy. I also helped design and build the e-commerce Magento website for tangotile.com from the very beginning to launch, in addition to creating and editing all its graphic content.
As an undergrad, I volunteered at the M. H. De Young Museum in San Francisco and was lucky enough to be placed in the basement with the collection photographers, I think this is where my fascination with photographing objects began.
When I'm not glued to my computer, I'm doting on Simon and Zelda, my rescue kittens from Tijuana.
